Silver Lakes Guidelines for COVID-19
Posted on Oct 6th, 2020

The following message from the BOD was sent by Email to Owners and Active Renters at Silver Lakes:

Dear Silver Lakers,
We hope everyone has had a safe and enjoyable summer. Since March, our country and world have experienced unusual circumstances due to COVID-19. As we begin the 2020-2021 season, the Board has developed guidelines for our activities and amenities here at Silver Lakes that follow Florida state and county COVID-19 regulations.
Linda Young, our Activities Chairperson, and the Board of Directors have worked with the Activity chairpersons to develop rules and guidelines for their respective activities. As we know, these may change, and we will do our best to keep up with the changes as we go through our 2020-2021 season.
The best way to find out what is happening or not happening in the park is to use our Silver Lakes website!
The COVID rules that you will be required to follow to participate in the various activities are listed on this page.
Go to the Silver Lakes website, and click on “Silver Lakes Guidelines for Activities and Amenities“ in the red COVID-19 Alert box at the top of the Home page.  This information is available to all owners and renters. You do not need to login to the website to access these pages.
There you will be able to click on:
  1. Guidelines for Amenity/Activity – ex. golf, exercise room, pickle ball, bocce, etc.
  2. Events Overview – showing canceled events
  3. Regularly Schedule Activities - with labels indicating if canceled or guidelines in place for COVID for each activity
  4. Florida State Guidelines
  5. Collier County guidelines
It is important that you check this page regularly due to the frequent changes to our activities/amenities and the state and county regulations. Additional guidelines for other activities and the clubhouses are under development and will be added in the future.
Remember: It is solely up to you to protect yourself from COVID-19. We can offer suggestions and rules, but it is up to you to follow them to keep yourself, as well as everyone around you, as safe as possible! If you see some questionable behavior, please say something at the time, to the people involved or remove yourself from that situation.
Please do not involve the Park manager or Board members… we are all adults and should be able to rectify these situations ourselves.
We want to thank Linda Young and all the activity chairpersons for their work developing these rules and guidelines. Special thanks to Ed Ross and Kathy Bisonic for creating the COVID-19 pages on our website.
We look forward to the 2020-2021 season at Silver Lakes and our “new normal”
We wish everyone safe travels back to our park.
Your Board of Directors
