Dear Silver Lakes,

 

In recent months, the Board of Directors has reviewed the Rules and Regulations of our Community as it pertains to the safety and security of our Resort. This has become a greater concern due to the increase in the number of short-term rentals. With input from a number of our owners, the Board has approved the revised Rules and Regulations for Owners and Renters and added a new document,  Additional Rules and Regulations for Renters which are enclosed for your review. These documents are also available on our website: from the Board menu: Board Procedural Guidance ... Policies, Procedures and Rules.

 

Please take a minute to read these documents as we have made some significant changes including minimum rental period, hours of arrival, RV age restrictions and site escorting. All renters are required to sign both documents before going on the site. These policies and procedures have been communicated to the Rental Office and will go into effect on August 1.

 

The board is also researching the options for background checks for all renters and will provide you with procedures guidelines when approved.
